Today I’d like to share some information with you about Formostar body wraps. Quit a few people are searching for information about Formostar wraps, because they are not sure exactly what they are.
In this article I will explain exactly what the Formostar body wrap is, how it works, and if it is worth the cost.
What is a Formostar Wrap?
The formostar wrap is a type of Infrared body wrap that uses “deep heat” treatment to warm the skin and body. Unlike traditional body wraps, there is no mud or liquid based formula applied to the skin, and in some cases you do not have to remove your clothes in order to have one.
During the Formostar wrap procedure, silicone wraps that contain heat filaments will be applied to the following areas of your body:
- Chest
- Stomach
- Hips
- Thighs
- Targeted area of your choice (shoulders, arms or calves normally)
Once the wraps are applied the control unit does the rest, and begins heating the wraps. You will be asked to lie down on a massage table during the procedure and can read a book or watch TV while your body heats up.
Each Formostar wrap session takes about an hour long and costs around $100-$120.
Here is a little more information about Formostar wraps directly off of their official website:
‘”The Formostar Far Infrared Body Wrap System is a deep heat treatment that utilises the body’s natural cooling process to stimulate the metabolism. When heat is absorbed by the body on a continuous basis, the blood circulation is used to transport the excess heat as close as possible to the skin’s surface, inducing sweat, to help dissipate it into the cooler atmosphere. Formostar utilises Far Infrared energy to produce this heat as it can be very efficiently abosrbed by the body when generated around the 9.5 micron waveband.”
Foromostar claims that their wraps help aid in weight loss and provide pain relief. Infrared body wraps certainly do work well to help with pain relief, because they heat the muscles and improve circulation.
When if comes to weight loss however, a traditional body wrap is a much better way to go.
The Benefits of Formostar Wraps
I personally prefer traditional homemade body wraps, but there are a couple of benefits to Formostar wraps compared to traditional wraps.
The main benefit is that they are less messy since there is no formula applied to your body. Of course there is also a down side to this since the formula used in a traditional body wraps has many benefits for the body.
One other advantage of Formostar wraps over traditional body wraps is that they can be performed with your clothes on, making them more convenient.
Are Formostar Wraps Worth the Money?
At over $100 per session, formostar wraps are not cheap. If your main goal pain relief, then they may be worth a try.
If you are trying to achieve any of the following goals, then I would recommend a homemade body wrap since they are more effective and much less expensive:
