Body Slimming Wraps 101
Body slimming wraps are becoming more and more popular as more people become aware of the many health and cosmetic benefits to be gained. Here is a list of some of the benefits that body wraps can provide:
- Remove toxins
- Reduce inches
- Improve skin tone
- Nourish the skin
- Aid weight loss
What is a body slimming wrap?
A body slimming wrap or “body wrap” is a theraputic treatment which involves covering the body with a special formula and wrapping it with special cloths. Slimming body wraps can be performed on the entire body or target certain problem areas. For example, thigh wraps are a good way to help make your thighs thinner while wraps targeted on the arms can improve the appearance of flabby ‘bingo wings’.
Body wraps are a very popular spa treatment since they provide a powerful combination of both therapeutic
and cosmetic benefits – and now they can be performed at home with only a few simple ingredients.
A Short History of Slimming Wraps
Many people don’t realize that slimming body wraps have been around for many thousands of years. They were used by the early Greeks as well as the Egyptians to improve the skin, promote healing, cleanse the body, and soothe the spirit.
They are now one of the most sought after spa treatments and are commonly performed at home by “do it yourselfers”.
How do Body Wraps Work?
The skin cells are surrounded by interstitial fluid. Over time, excess fluid begins to build up within the cells. Some of the most common causes of fluid build up include:
- Inactivity
- Poor diet
- Exposure to pollutants
- Normal aging
Slimming body wraps contain ingredients such as clay, essential oils and various herbs that help draw these excessive fluids and toxins out of your cells. At the same time, they nourish and moisturize the skin.
If you’ve never tried a body wrap before, I strongly suggest you get out there and give it a try. You will be very impressed how great you feel after the wrap and will be truly amazed at the number of inches you can lose.
If money is an issue, consider performing your own wraps at home rather than spending on the spa. You can even avoid the expense of a body wrap kit if you are willing to do a little work and mix your own formulas from basic ingredients. In my ebook “Wrap Yourself Slim, Body Wraps Exposed“, I outline the entire home wrapping process and share some of my own secret recipes that the the spa’s don’t want you to know about!
