Motivation!

What motivates you?

I’ve just completed the third in a series of Healing Kit Wraps using the Sea Mud and the Herbal Extract for soaking the wrap clothes. I must say, I am very impressed with the results. Not only have I seen significant inch loss, I’ve also lost quite a bit of weight. And it’s staying off.

I think my favorite thing is how well my clothes are fitting. Nothing is tight, in fact, everything is quite loose these days. It might be time for a shopping trip soon.

These results are very encouraging and motivating. The more weight and inches I lose, the more I want to go out and exercise and the more I want to stick to my diet. When I’m looking so good and feeling so good, it’s very easy to want to keep moving forward with the program.

But what about those times when I’m not feeling so inspired? I’ve definitely had days when I just don’t want to go for a run, or get on my bike, or pick up those weights. In the past, there have been days when my motivation was next to nothing. All I wanted to do was throw on a movie, make a big bag of buttered microwave popcorn and eat the whole thing. With a big Dr. Pepper. Sometimes, when I give into that urge, it’s hard to get back with my program.

But this time around, I have a plan to help keep from falling into this rut. Instead of going it alone, I’ve enlisted the help of a couple of friends. When I need a boost to keep me going, I just call, text or send an email. When they need the same, they look to me for support. We go for bike rides together, meet up for healthy dinners and give each other compliments on how great we’re looking. They even help me when I do have an off day. They offer encouragement and support to not beat myself up if I miss a workout, but just get back on the program and move forward.

With today’s social media and email, you don’t have to be in the same city or even country as your support team. You can cheer each other online in a virtual cheerleading squad. For example, today, two of my friends did a 34 mile bike ride!! Wow! You bet that I was sending them compliments and praise as soon as I saw that update on Facebook. That’s great!

It’s always easier to do things when you’ve got friends and a team boosting you and pushing you forward. It’s a great way to celebrate your accomplishments and to get a little extra motivation when you need it.

I’m always happy to lend support and cheer someone on, so feel free to post on Facebook, send me a tweet or comment below. I can’t wait to hear what you’re doing to reach your goals.

So, besides me, who’s on your team?!?!
