Body Wraps At Home Versus The Spa

body wrap at the spaYou may have had a spa body wrap treatment before, but what about a body wrap at home?

The herbal body wrap was always one of my favorite spa treatments.  It’s an effective means of losing inches quickly, and makes my skin feel amazing after the treatment.  However, if you’re anything like me, you  probably have a hard time justifying the $100-$150 that it costs for each treatment.  The results are amazing, but the cost is too high!

Fortunately, using a body wrap kit at home is a great alternative to the popular spa treatment, and the savings are HUGE.  For the same body wrap treatment that would cost you between $100-$150 at the spa can cost as little as $5 at home. This means for every one spa body wrap treatment you have, you could have up to 20 at home!

I’m sure that the big question you are wonder is whether you will get the same results as you would at the spa?  Absolutely!  You are going to be using the exact same ingredients as the spa uses in their body wrap formulas, meaning that there is no reason why you will not see as good or better results than those at the spa.

Why Home Body Wraps Are Better

Home body wraps do require a little more work initially, but in my opinion it’s well worth the final outcome.  Aside from the huge cost savings, home body wrap treatments will allow you to have full control over all aspects of your treatment.  Most importantly, you can make the body wrap formula’s yourself. This is important because the ingredients are one of the biggest factors when it comes to an effective body wrap treatment.  They really do make or break the wrap.

What Do I have To Do To Get Started?

If you want to give a home body wrap a try instead of going to the spa, all you have to do is round up some body wrap supplies.  The best way to start is to buy a body wrap kit, which will have everything that you need to get started including:

  • Skin exfoliating accessories
  • Body wrap bandages
  • Body wrap formulas
  • Sauna suit
  • Tape measure, tracking sheet, instructions

You can buy a body wrap kit that can perform 20-40 wraps for about $140, depending on the contents of the kit.  Quite a deal compared to the spa!

Putting It All Together

Save Money With a Homemade Body Wrap

body wrap modelOne of the biggest benefits of homemade body wraps is that they can save you a ton of money compared to spa body wraps.  Some spa’s charge as much as $150 for one wrap, and you can make the exact same body wraps at home for between $5-$10 per wrap.

Now that is considerable savings!

However, if you are considering trying a homemade body wrap, there are a number of very important things that you must take in to consideration.

Simply put, if you want your wrap session to be as effective as a spa wrap, you need to follow these steps:

1.  Use The Right Ingredients – It is very important that you use only high quality, effective ingredients in your homemade body wraps.  One of the benefits of making your own body wraps is that you can try a variety of ingredients to see which ones work best for your specific goals.

2.  Exfoliate Prior To Wrapping – before performing your homemade wrap, you need to prepare your skin.  Exfoliating with a dry brush helps open the skin pores, which allows the body wrap formula to be absorbed by the skin.  This is a simple yet very important step that you need to take to maximize the results of your body wrap.

3.  Maintain Healthy Habits - To get the biggest benefits out of your homemade body wraps, a healthy lifestyle is a must.  Your body needs to be working efficiently from the inside, and your circulatory system must be in top condition.  Eating a healthy diet, being active on a daily basis is a must.  If you are eating junk food and not exercising, do not expect your body wrap results to last very long!

5.  Be Consistent – When you begins with your homemade body wraps, it’s important that you are consistent.  Aim for at least two body wraps a week for the first few weeks.  After that you can move in to “maintenance mode” where you will only need to perform a body wrap every few weeks.

Still Not Sure Where to Begin?

At this point you have a couple of choices:

You can buy a pre-made body wrap kit that has all of the ingredients and accessories that you need to perform a homemade body wrap, which is the fastest and easiest way to get started…

OR

You can buy all of the ingredients that you will need separately, and mix them together.  This will allow you to experiment with different ingredient combinations, and see which recipes work best for you.  If you decide to go this route, you will need some body wrap supplies however.
