History Of Body Wraps

Body wraps have been around for hundreds of years, beginning in ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece. All three empires were renowned for their “miraculous” healing methods. Chinese herbalism was among this information. Herbalism refers to the study and use of natural herbs to treat a variety of health conditions. With the imported texts in hand, the three empires set to work translating herbal instruction and started mixing and testing these herbs. Introduction In To North America

In the early 60′s, slimming body wraps were introduced in North America in spas and beauty salons after excellent success in Europe. For the next 10 years, body wraps gained popularity and worldwide acclaim with word of mouth and a surge of public advertising. Body wrap ads claimed that herbal body wraps were soaked in a special solution, only known to the manufacturer, and application would remove cellulite, and “melt off inches”. This quick fix to fat loss was readily accepted, and revenue soared for spa’s and salons offering body wraps treatments.

Body Wraps Now

Body wrap popularity has recently surged within the last ten years with the introduction of  body wrap kits that can be used at home.  These kits contain the same ingredients as spa body wraps, but cost up to 90% less per wrap making them very economical.

Many celebrities have also gotten on the “body wrap band wagon”, making products like the suddenly slender body wrap become more mainstream.

Many people swear by the body wrap’s abilities and religiously perform body wrap treatments on themselves.
